Bliss is.....

After 3 years, my desk at work looks at this again. Clean with little to no work to be done. Epic win.

In an effort to create a Bass Rig/Set-up that is something different and unique, this is what I have currently come up with.

I'll be keeping all my current gear more than likely updating/stockpiling over time.

If any one has any ideas or knows of a pedal that would be something different but will do a similar/be more effective as something I've listed, let me know.

If you would like to know anything about any of the gear that I own, leave a comment and I will try and get back to you.

WTF?

Yesterday on my way to Gap Creek Recreation Reserve to have a spill on my bike, take some bark off myself and hurt my hip/tail bone, I got a phone call from my mum saying "Congratulations". Of course I'm confused.

Back story - I take photos sometimes. Sometimes they are alright, sometimes they are shit. I went out a few Fridays ago and took some photos. Some of them came out alright, didnt think much of it, I never really do.

I came into work on the Monday, camera in hand to get the photos off the memory card because I had been too lazy to do it over the weekend. My mum saw one of them and really liked it and asked for a high res copy of it. I send it to her and soon enough it was the background on her work desktop. Thumbs up.

Now, back to the phone call. Turns out she entered my photo into an exhibition under my name without me knowing. Picked up first place in the Open Catergory (Colour) section. Of course I was a little shocked, but more so in the fact that she didn't tell me what she was doing. Quite a surprise really, mainly laughed about it.

Oh well. Here's to a $10 cash prize and piece of paper telling me I'm alright.

Assumption/Thought?

I feel like I am walking down a one-way street with people's backs facing me. Only to have them turn around to place their hand out in request, not in a friendly welcoming manner.

There are a few residents who give me a neighbourly greeting.

This is nothing new.

One of the Best Nights of My Life - Part II

STABBEDINTHEGUTS (SITG) FINAL SHOW - Friday 6th of June, 2008

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9179949350692641675&hl=en

The night ruled so much. I couldn't of asked for a better way to end this band.

After being together since about March 2007 and playing our first show in August, we played a heap from shows around Brisbane, played with some rad international bands and toured north Queensland.

Thanks to everyone who ever watched us, enjoyed us, give us shit, stood outside, pretended to like us or just wanted a good time. This band has been a blast.

Around the World in 41 Days

At the end of this year, I have decided that for 6 weeks during December and January to travel. Tickets are booked and arrangements have been made to visit Vancouver, Seattle, Montreal, Halifax, Bathurst, Boston, London, Manchester, Stavanger and Tromso, with stop overs in Auckland, Copenhagen and Bangkok.

I'll be travelling roughly 44,000km.

This will be my third holiday outside of Australia and second by myself. I am going to be catching up with some old friends and meeting some new ones for the first time.

I also have my next holiday after this one planned.

I do not want a repeat of this -
